Thomas Robert Gish, loving husband and father, died suddenly on Friday, January 9, 2004, at the age 58.

A native of San Antonio, he graduated from Alamo Heights High School and The University of Texas. He completed his Masters in Business Administration at St. Mary’s University and was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was the Chief Financial Officer for Osborn Heirs Company.

Being a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church his entire life, he served on the Vestry, taught Sunday School, was a Children’s Chapel Leader and Acolyte Sponsor, and was the Treasurer for the church.

He served his country in Vietnam as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, and subsequently the Naval Reserves, from which he retired at the rank of lieutenant.

He was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, The German Club, The Order of the Alamo, The Argyle, The Texas Cavaliers, and The Conopus Club. He was a passionate Lifetime Member of the Texas Exes Association and the University of Texas Longhorn Foundation.

Tommy’s integrity, intelligence, discipline, and Christian character made him a strong role model for all who knew him. He was well known for his fun-loving and competitive spirit and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, his sons Rob and Matthew, his sister Marijane Gish, his mother-in-law Carolyn Knapp, his sister-in-law Nancy Kocurek, and many devoted friends.
