I began drawing animals at the age of five and have continued a close association with a variety of wildlife while perfecting my talents of draftsmanship and sensitive portrayals. Childhood years spent living in Europe enabled me to see firsthand the original work of great Renaissance Masters. Today my drawings and paintings reflect this early influence.

I was an Honor Student and top graduate of the Ringling School of Art and Design and also graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a degree in Arts Education. My busy life included being an internationally published sports photographer and award winning graphic designer. A parallel career in arts teaching enabled me to influence the careers of many artists across the country.

I am a signature member of the Society of Animal Artists International, the most prestigious animal art organization worldwide. This honor motivates me to create animal art of the highest quality.

My work has been shown in the World Wildlife Museum, at the San Antonio, Denver and El Paso Zoos, in the Institute of Texan Cultures, in the Witte Museum and in many galleries across the U.S. Completed drawings for the Frost Bank collection of Texas Art won the honor of "Best of Texas" in the drawing division sponsored by Sakowitz of Houston.

Oil painting is my current interest, and eventually my oil work will be offered to patrons.

I became a professional artist, graphic designer, photographer and arts educator, and I have lived in Tucson, Austin, El Paso, Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Los Angeles, San Antonio and Colorado Springs. I may move to Arizona again, possibly Prescott, so I can continue to paint wildlife and market the work in galleries in the West. I like Arabian horses and once owned four related to Cass Ole ("The Black Stallion"), and I now own two. I may buy a quarter horse for my husband (to join me on trail rides). I enjoy the outdoors and all aspects of nature.
