I came to Heights from New England . I was a stranger. Jimmy ALWAYS had a smile and a kind word for me. My high school years were quite hard for me. I appreciated Jimmy’s kindness MORE than I can say. His smile could light up a room! Thank you, Jimmy... thank you. May your family find comfort in knowing what a good and decent man that friendly boy became.

Jimmy was one of those I consider a "good guy".  Good guys are the folks who, when you think about them, bring only good memories to mind.

I was a member of Alamo Heights Presbyterian Church until sixth grade and knew Jimmy from those years at church and school.  Jimmy was always kind and considerate, and I have thought of him over the decades for that quality.  I'm very sorry to hear this sad news.

Jimmy was a good friend and a good man.  I was always impressed with his positive attitude about all things and this trait became a model for me.  Nothing but good memories of the times we had together and the times we just talked. He will be missed by all.

It was a great pleasure to work with Jim in preparation for the class' 50th reunion. He brought his wit, skill, dedication, and kindness to the task of locating many of our members, and it was through his efforts that we enjoyed a very large turnout for that weekend in 2013. Following the reunion, Jim continued to work to find others who were still on our "missing" list, and his efforts occasionally bore fruit. Everyone who worked with him on the commmittee greatly asppreciated his contribution.

He will be missed. Rest in peace, good friend.
