After leaving San Antonio after my freshmen year and moving to La Jolla, CA, I went to La Jolla High School and then the University of Colorado. I married a year after graduation, and we eventually returned to Colorado to live and raise our two sons, Ben and Kevin. I was mostly a stay-at-home mom although I wrote non-fiction articles as a freelancer, taught adult-education writing classes, substituted at middle and high schools, and eventually began my alumni relations work at CU in 1992 - I've been doing that ever since. My husband and I divorced in 1993, and I moved to Philadelphia in 2004 to be near my son Kevin and his family - and for a new adventure.
